The new GST rules have been implemented for businesses with a turnover of more than how many crores?

- Businesses with an annual turnover of Rs 100 crore or more will have to comply with a new GST rule from May 1, 2023.
- The new rule mandates uploading of electronic invoices on the Invoice Registration Portal (IRP) within seven days of issue.
- IRP is used to verify that these invoices are indeed genuine and to assign them a unique Invoice Reference Number for GST purposes.
- The new rule replaces the current system wherein businesses upload invoices to the IRP on the day they are issued, irrespective of their actual issue date.
