- The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has launched Geographic Information System Application “Gram Map” to promote spatial planning by Gram Panchayat. This application provides convenience and assistance to Gram Panchayats in planning at the Gram Panchayat level using geospatial technology.
- Recently a new accessibility widget was launched on the iGOT Karmayogi platform. The iGOT platform was introduced with the aim of making it accessible to learners across the government spectrum. iGOT’s Accessibility Widget seeks to empower not only learners with disabilities to navigate and engage with content seamlessly.
- Department of Social Justice and Empowerment is implementing ‘Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY)’. It aims to provide assistive living devices to senior citizens suffering from any age related disability/infirmity. With the help of these devices the physical condition can be brought almost closer to normal condition.
- The 68th Mahaparinirvan Diwas will be celebrated by Dr. Ambedkar Foundation (DAF) on behalf of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India on 6th December, 2023 near the statue of Babasaheb Dr. BR Ambedkar at Parliament House Lawns, New Delhi. The commemoration of the 68th Mahaparinirvan Day will begin with a floral tribute by President Smt. Draupadi Murmu.
