- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate the ‘Global Investors Summit 2023‘ during his visit to Dehradun, Uttarakhand on 8 December. ‘Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit 2023’ is a step towards establishing Uttarakhand as a new hub of investment. The two-day summit is being held on December 8 and 9, 2023 with the theme “Peace to Prosperity”.
- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and property due to the recent cyclone Michong that hit Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry. He also prayed for those injured or affected by the cyclone and that officials are making tireless efforts at the ground level to help the affected people.
- Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has recently inaugurated the 59th Annual Seminar 2023 of the Indian Fertilizer Association. He said that the Indian fertilizer sector has emerged as a strong force in the fertilizer sector by providing timely fertilizers, enhancing agricultural activities and playing an important role in shaping the global market and providing support to 14 crore farming families. - UNESCO declared ‘Garba’ of Gujarat as an intangible cultural heritage under the provisions of the 2003 Convention during the 18th meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH). Garba has been included in the UNESCO list as the 15th intangible cultural heritage of India. Garba as a dance form is deeply rooted in religious and devotional practices, involving people from all walks of life. Garba is growing into a vibrant tradition that brings communities together.
- The 16th edition of the Military Cooperation Sub-Group (MCSG) meeting between India and Germany was recently held in New Delhi. This MCSG platform drives activities through regular interactions at the strategic and operational levels between Headquarters Integrated Defense Staff and the Department of International Cooperation Armed Forces Office.
- All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Chairman Professor T.G. Sitaram recently released the AICTE Approval Process Booklet for the academic year 2024-2027 at the Information Bureau Conference Hall, Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi. The Government of India and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have recently signed a loan of $175 million to improve connectivity in Madhya Pradesh. This project will convert about 500 km of state highways and major district roads into standard two-lane.
