About the Indian Air Force

The Indian Air Force is the fourth-largest air force in the world. Its headquarters is located at the Hindan Air Force Station in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, and it is the largest air force in Asia. Since its inception, the Indian Air Force has been following its motto, “Nabhah Sprsham Deeptam,” which translates to “Touch the Sky with Glory.” This motto is derived from Chapter 11 of the Bhagavad Gita. The colors of the Indian Air Force are blue, sky blue, and white.

How Indian Air Force Day 2023 is Celebrated

On this day, a parade featuring both male and female pilots is held at Hindan Air Force Station, where senior officers of the Air Force are honored with medals. This year, the event is being held in Chandigarh, and it will also have the presence of President Draupadi Murmu.
