The formula of area of a trapezium (also known as a trapezoid)

A = (a + b)/2 * h

Where:

• A is the area of the trapezium,
• a and b are the lengths of the parallel sides of the trapezium, and
• h is the height of the trapezium, which is the perpendicular distance between the two parallel sides.
