What is the formula of integration?

Most common formulas used in integration

Power Rule

If f(x) = x^n, then ∫x^n dx = (x^(n + 1))/(n + 1) + C,

where, C is an arbitrary constant.

Exponential Function Rule

If f(x) = e^x, then ∫e^x dx = e^x + C.

Logarithmic Function Rule:

If f(x) = ln(x), then ∫ln(x) dx = x ln(x) – x + C.

Trigonometric Function Rules:

There are several rules for integrating trigonometric functions, such as

∫sin(x) dx = -cos(x) + C,

∫cos(x) dx = sin(x) + C, and

∫sec^2(x) dx = tan(x) + C.

Integration by Parts:

∫u dv = uv – ∫v du,

where,

  • u and dv are functions that can be differentiated, and
  • v and du are their derivatives.

These are just a few formula of integration the many formulas used in integration.Regenerate response
